Additional Info

The Flashing Kit Perspex Porthole is the ideal accessory for campers who enjoy the versatility of using a wood-burning stove in their cotton or canvas tent. While a flashing kit provides the safe exit point for a flue when the stove is in use, there are plenty of times—whether during hotter adventures or trips where the stove simply isn’t needed—when you’ll want to cover the opening. This clever perspex insert ensures that your tent stays fully protected, no matter the weather.

Designed to fit neatly into the flashing kit’s existing structure, the perspex disc slots between the inner and outer plates and is then secured in place with screws. Once fitted, it creates a durable, watertight seal that prevents rain, dirt, and draughts from entering through the stove hole—keeping the inside of your tent dry, comfortable, and ready to enjoy. The clear finish also lets in natural light, creating a subtle “porthole” effect without compromising protection.

Perfect for:

  • Campers using a tent that’s already fitted with a flashing kit
  • Adventures where a stove isn’t required
  • Added peace of mind against downpours, draughts, and debris
  • Keeping your tent interior warm, dry, and weatherproof

Happy

Purchased a stove to fit in my out-building.
Happy with the purchase/quality, although I’d point out a few things prior to installing.
Burn for a while outside in the open air to rid/cure the paint/chemicals.
My flue passes through a wooden roof - I purchase a twin wall flue for this section that passes through. I also sealed the joins between flue sections. Stove is sat on a solid slab, also fitted cement board behind the stove and up behind the length of the flue just to protect against higher temperatures. Start with a small fire and good ventilation when first lighting - keep the door open for the first 10/15 mins. Gets very hot very quickly. My room is fairly airtight too so I need to ensure the draft is flowing outward instead of in and down the flue. Opening a door pulls the draft in so I have to open slowly to prevent smoking being pulled in. Also have a Co2 monitor installed.

A little lion that gives out a mighty big roar !

Love . Love our stove . Situated in the shed and the heat that comes out of it is amazing . Also the glass stays wonderful and clean whilst burning . Would recommend.

First class fire!

Amazing bit of kit, we've had to light it at every opportunity, even in the garden.
Not only is our pizza making is getting better every time, but now our friends want one too.
Just gotta work on my muscles, 30Kg is a lump!!

Loads of spare nuts/bolts etc. Was worried we’d assembled it wrong. Instructions could’ve been a lot clearer, but overall the product itself is amazing!

Excellent stove, second one I have bought, my old one is now in my bell tent in the garden & my new one will be used in my bell tent on my campsite to see me though the whole season
2 x vents make it really easy to control, excellent burner leaving minimal ash & great size, with big viewing window, whsts not to like 🥇

Hi Karen, thank you for being a repeat customer and for such a detailed review! We're delighted to hear the vents make it so easy to control and that it's earning its place in both your garden and campsite setups. Enjoy the season ahead!

Replacement Stove Flue Sections

Perfectly happy with the replacement stove flue sections just bought, they are like for like replacements and additions to give a bit more height above the gazebo we use at the Strathpuffer24.

Excellent pizza oven

Feels really good quality, retains the heat well. Great piece of kit

It was a toss up between this and the pizza oven for me. In the end I went with this for the smaller size and 10kg lighter. The atmosphere that this creates is hard to beat for the price. I find it somewhat limiting to keep within the 300° limit but as others are only 250° max I can only imagine they’re even trickier. It doesn’t come with a bag as standard. Overall I love it and my wife couldn’t believe it when she saw it

Well made product

The oven and fittings are well made and easy to assemble, good quality.
We are still getting used to how to make a fire in such a small space. It's very heavy but movable over short distances.

FLUE SAVED THE DAY!

Pretty sure if we hadn't bought the flue we'd have been in trouble! This flue fits our fire retardent tent well - there's a little bit of gap as sizing was off but all that means is you get the occasional percussive sounds from raindrops evaporating into the heat, which we like.
We actually nearly had a serious incident owing to being newbies and not organising the safety checks on the stove properly. As first-timers the flue definitely helped us narrowly avoid catastrophe, as the drop-off in temperature is significant.

As I said, this is a very competitive price compared to elsewhere.

We had a small [and cheap] stove in our small patch of woodland but we had to cut wood so small to fit in it. Since several trees came down in various storms I needed something larger. Cue this new stove and wow! It chucks out 2-3x as much heat as the other. My granddaughters love it as they can sit in the corner and read feeling toastie no matter what the temperature is. The on'y thing to note is that getting extension tube for the chimney can be a little difficult
