7. Catchpenny Safari Lodges

If you don’t want to jump straight into wild camping, there are toilets and shower facilities on site. You’ll also still be able to enjoy your private comforts in your glamping tent, so long as they have minimal impact on the surrounding environment.

9. The Loft Glamping and Camping 

The Loft Glamping and Camping sits along the scenic Moray coast and is the perfect place for couples or families to enjoy a coastal retreat. This spot mixes camping pitches and glamping and has a real focus on community with shared fire pits, a cosy cafe and even hot tubs.

What makes The Loft a must-visit campsite is the dark sky area, which offers an exclusive view of the Northern Lights during the right seasons. Visit between March and September for the best chance of witnessing the phenomenal aurora borealis.

 10. Ardnamurchan Campsite

This is the most westerly location for glamping in Scotland as well as the UK and offers a stunning space to pitch right below an extinct Scottish volcano. Ardnamurchan Campsite has twenty-five pitches, and nine are right above the high water mark, so you can camp as close to the sea as possible. Even if you’re further away, you can still enjoy the stunning sights of the water below and right out across the horizon.

Remember that if you’re camping near water, there’s a high chance you might get wet. Ensure you know how to waterproof a tent before you head off!

11. Culdees Castle Glamping

For a dreamy castle experience straight out of a fairytale, head to Culdees Castle Glamping. Experience an intimate couples escape right inside the grounds of this historic castle in cabins fit for two people.

12. Glenbrittle Campsite
