THE PERFECT PLOT

ACHIEVING PITCH PERFECTION

first time leaks

A proactive and well-tended TLC routine will prevent the risk of any damage and deterioration to your tents' fabric and structural elements. If you want to maximise your tents' life span, remember that prevention is always better (and easier!) than cure. The recommended tips below combined together will help to maintain retain breathability, water resistancy and overall resilience.

The most common cause of tent mildew is down to a lack of ventilation. Make sure you allow yours to breath easy by opening up doors & windows as frequently as possible !

It's wise to keep a close eye on your ropes and tighten them accordingly. For extra protection, you can double & up share the stress by attaching another rope and pegging down next to the original.

If it has been raining, positioned inside of the tent & under the canopy we recommend patting the fabric which will remove any puddles and shake off excess water.

When temperatures fluctuate the air inside the tubes may expand/condense. Our Nova Air Domes should be monitored to ensure a 8-10 PSI reading.

camping in extreme weather

It's important that you, your camping companions, and your tent endure endless uninterrupted and safe camping adventures! In testing weather, pitching precautions are vital. If winds are expected to exceed speeds of 40mph, we highly advise that you reassess your trip & If snowfall is expected to exceed 1ft we recommend temporarily taking down your tent, as the weight of any snow gathered on the tent walls & roof could cause fabric & structural damage. Boutique Camping are not responsible for damage transpired from hostile environments and conditions.

1. Avoid areas prone to bodies of water & puddles.
2. Avoid open or high spaces where wind gusts are powerful.
3. Seek more sheltered areas
4. Windows shut closed.

1. Rain cap/s are on.
2. Skirt pulled over groundsheet.
3. Doors facing against winds.
4. If the pole is leaning this suggests you need to loosen ropes.

1. Windy? 'double up' using a spare set of ropes and pegs.
2. Monitor tension & tighten accordingly.
3. Consider replacing ropes with 'Webbing Straps'.

When wet, grounds quickly become soft & passing winds can effect the tension and even safety of you & your tent.
Replug the pegs into fresh foundations as frequent as possible.
